STEPHANE LEVY
Stephane is one of the artistic directors of the Escuela internacional de mimo corporal dramático de Barcelona and co-director of the company Moveo Teatro. He also teaches corporeal mime at the Institute of Theatre in Barcelona.
Born in France in 1971, Stéphane graduated in philosophy from the University Paris X (Nanterre), then started his corporeal mime training under the direction of Steven Wasson and Corinne Soum, the last assistants of Etienne Decroux. He graduated from the Ecole de Mime Corporel Dramatique of London in 1997. Until 2000, he followed its post graduate programme, specialised in teaching and directing, and studied voice with John Wilde, Anne-Marie Speed and Pieter van Zyl.
From 1999 to 2002 he was the assistant of Steven Wasson and Corinne Soum, and taught at the London school, as well as performing in their company "Théâtre de l’Ange Fou”.
His teaching experience includes:
company StageFright, Edinburgh Festival Fringe, workshops for the circus section of the Central School for Speech and Drama, London International Mime Festival, Institute of Theatre of Barcelona, Trident School in Antwerpen, Association of Actors of Majorca, CPM of Geneva, Festival Gest of Esparreguera, Muestra MIM de Sueca, Institute of Physical Education of Catalunya and Theatre Association of Gerona.
In 2004, he was invited by Mechanics to teach corporeal mime in Barcelona, then founded MOVEO with Sophie Kasser. Their courses led to the creation of "Oskar", "El Caso Mendoza", "El Rey se Muere" y "Sueños Peligrosos", all co-directed with Sophie Kasser and presented at the Institute of Theatre in Barcelona, the theatre la Bobila and the festival Gest of Esparreguera.
Stephane is also a director and actor of Moveo Teatro. |

SOPHIE KASSER
Sophie is co-director of MOVEO – training and creation - and teacher at the Escuela internacional de mimo corporal dramático de Barcelona.
Born in Switzerland in 1977, Sophie took dance and circus classes before being directed by Anne Vaucher at the Théâtre du Crève-Coeur and by Bénédict Gampert at the Conservatoire Populaire of Geneva. She also took workshops with Alain Carré, Jean-Pierre Amiel, Teatro Dimitri, Theatre Cirqule, Beetchouc Circus y Cirque Ephémère.
She graduated in corporeal mime from the Ecole de Mime Corporel Dramatique of London directed by Steven Wasson and Corinne Soum and then was a member of their company Théâtre de l'Ange Fou for 4 years. At the same time, she followed the post-graduate programme in corporeal mime.
Sophie taught workshops for the circus section of the Central School for Speech and Drama of London, the Conservatoire Populaire of Geneva, the Institute of Theatre of Barcelona, the Actors Association of Majorca, the festivals MIM of Sueca and GEST of Esparreguera and the Theatre Association of Gerona.
Sophie also holds a Master in Arts Policy and Management from the Birkbeck University of London and recently participated in a conference about theatre masters of the 20th Century, in Belgium.
She is co-directing shows at the Escuela internacional de Mimo Corporal Dramatico de Barcelona and a performer of Moveo Teatro, company she co-founded with Stephane Levy. |
OLIVIER DECRIAUD
Olivier is teacher at the Escuela internacional de mimo corporal dramático de Barcelona and at the Col.legi del Teatre of Barcelona.
Born in Port-Vila (ex New-Hebrides) in 1972, Olivier holds a BA in French literature and an MA in teaching French as a foreign language.
He trained in corporeal mime with Ivan Bacciochi and Robert Bennett in Paris, and at the Ecole de Mime Corporel Dramatique in London with Steven Wasson and Corinne Soum. He obtained his diploma in London in 1997, then followed the post-graduate programme specialised in corporeal mime.
In the past years, Olivier has gained teaching experience in London while working in collaboration with Oliver Pollak (today teaching at the Mime Centrum in Berlin) and in Egypt with groups of both children and adults.
Olivier was a member of the Théâtre de l'Ange Fou under the direction of Corinne Soum and Steven Wasson and performed and toured with "The Government Inspector".
Olivier also performed in various other shows and short movies. His current projects include working with Anthony Warrant in France, an upcoming theatre writer for whom he performed at the Theatre Petit Vélo of Clermont-Ferrant, and at Le Bouquiniste, Barcelona.
Olivier is a member of Moveo Teatro and has worked as an actor for various companies in Barcelona. |

VICTORIA MARTINEZ ALVELO (1977, Pamplona)
Having obtained a History degree in 1996, Victòria began her career in multidisciplinary creation combining dance and theatre in various non-professional work areas.
In 1997, she began her theatre training at the Col·legi del Teatre of Barcelona. Specializing in physical theatre in the Institut del Teatre, she received a Special Award at the end of her studies, as well as a scholarship for extending studies in biomechanics. Moreover, being interested in voice work, she enrols at other schools such as Eòlia. At present, she studies for a Doctorate in Scenic Arts at the UAB.
Victòria has her debut in 2001 at the Teatre Nacional, in Ran del Camí by Joan Castells. She founds the theatre group Ens De Nos, together with which she presents her works L’espera and Vernissatge, directed by Dusan Tomic. With Xavi Lauder, she co-writes three monologues which she directs for her company: El faller, Sildavia and Mea culpa.
She has also worked with physical theatre companies such as “LIQUIDO TEATRO”, “COMEDIANTS”, “PA SUCAT”, and “MECHÀNICS”, as well as directors like Ramon Simó, Anne Dennis, Álvaro de la Peña, Jordi Vilà, Joan Minguell, and Nicolai Karpov.
In recent years, she has directed her interest in voice and music, collaborating with singers such as Xavi Garriga, and participating in productions such as the musical Timbals a la nit, as well as choruses for recording works and TV programs.
For the last 4 years, she has been adding to her artistic experience in the fields of management and production. She is also involved in the ‘Mostra d’Arts Gestuals i del Moviment d’Esparreguera’, “Gest”, which she co-directs. |
TINO CARREÑO
Since 2006, Tino CarreÒo has been the coordinator of the International Corporeal Mime School of Barcelona.
Tino is a member of the Association of Professional Actors and Directors of Catalonia and the Association of Professionals in Cultural Management of Catalonia. He obtained a degree in Economical and Business Studies in 1998 and in 2001, he graduated with a Drama degree from the ESAD in Valencia. He followed postgraduate studies in Management and Production of Shows (organised by the University of Barcelona, the Romea Foundation and the Institut del Teatre).
Having been part of Cia. Milotxa-OnÌria Teatre in all shows between 1992 and 2000, Tino also has experience as an actor. Moreover, he partcipated in the festival Petit Grec of Barcelona in the 2004 season, with the show ìLíInforme Luganoî, directed by Teresa Vilardell.
In the field of production, he was part of the management and programming team of Sala Teatre El ProgrÈs de Burjassot ñ Valencia from 1994 until 2000.
In 2004-2005 he worked as production assistant for the show ETS AQUI?, directed by Javier Daulte. At present, he is artistic and production co-director of the Mostra díArts Gestuals i del Moviment díEsparreguera GEST. Tino is also in charge of the coordination of the International Corporeal Mime School of Barcelona ñ Moveo, as well as the Coordinadora de Festivals i Mostres de Cinema i VÌdeo de Catalunya ñ CI&VI. |
